RATIA daywear and some nightwear are manufactured at Black Moda Oy's factory in Portugal. Production in Portugal creates the basis for quick response and flexible operations between customers and production. Black Moda Oy's production is OEKO-TEX® certified, which means that the textiles we manufacture do not contain chemicals and dyes that are harmful to health, and it ensures the safety of products that come close to the skin.

Some of the RATIA brand nightwear is manufactured by our partner in India, who has been our manufacturer since 2019. In addition to Portugal and India, we have one partner in Turkey, who manufactures some of our bed linen. Both our manufacturers in India and Turkey are OEKO-TEX® certified. Both are also Amfori BSCI audited.
Amfori is a leading sustainable trade business organization that supports companies around the world in successful and responsible business by improving the environmental, social and governance practices of their supply chains. The RATIA brand has long-standing supplier relationships and we only cooperate with responsible suppliers. At best, decades of cooperation only deepens as it progresses.
Black Moda Oy has calculated its carbon footprint since 2022 and is committed to reducing its carbon footprint by 2035. RATIA textiles are part of Black Moda's calculation and emission reduction targets. Black Moda Oy is also involved in the producer responsibility of packaging by Suomen Pakkauskierrätys RINKI Oy, and with regard to RATIA packaging, we strive to avoid the use of plastic and reduce the amount of packaging.
