— RATIA x Hanna-Riikka Heikkilä
The new Fall 2026 collaboration collection RATIA x Hanna-Riikka Heikkilä showcases Ratia's timeless design and Heikkilä's pattern art, which draws inspiration from both nature and cityscapes.
The collection is inspired by Ratia's graphic and timeless design language, as well as its philosophy rooted in primary colors. The patterns are based on lines, stripes, and clear forms, reflecting both Ratia's strong design heritage and Hanna-Riikka Heikkilä's unique expressive style. The entire collection exudes joyful positivity and freedom of self-expression, where form and color intertwine in a dynamic dialogue. The product cuts are clean, emphasizing the importance of material and form.
— Pattern art through hand-painting
The patterns draw inspiration from graphic design and urban environments, as well as natural elements – tall grass, water, and fair-weather clouds. All patterns were originally created by hand painting and then digitally refined. A lively, handmade line, a fresh and well-considered color palette, and dynamic composition are characteristic features of Hanna-Riikka Heikkilä's pattern art.
Korret
In the Korret pattern, lines crisscross and move naturally across the fabric's surface. The pattern evokes images of a shoreline and reeds swaying in the wind by the water, and its rhythm conveys the gentle movement and peaceful energy of nature.
Suunta
The Suunta pattern is simple, fresh, and energetic. Its clear lines and classic design language reflect a graphic and urban aesthetic, where clarity and balance play a central role.
Pouta
The Pouta pattern highlights colors and shapes. The pattern has a positive and richly saturated look – like a bright and clear fair-weather day, where light and purity take over the space.
